Dear Harry,
I read of sinkings in the North Atlantic to day and I wondered if you ever received my last letter and if you will receive this. Thank you old bean for your quick response to my cable. The copy you sent was "experfect" and how I appreciate your labour. Thanks pal.
Reasons:- Met a musician who overheard it in a practice studio and wants to use it in concerts here and also wants me to publish it -- well so do I, but never have time. Now, though, that I am in London and have been told where to go I shall try just for the "hell of it". The musician needed it for the next tour which was soon, so I cabled. Thanks bags!!
I have just completed another invigorating and satisfying month with respect to my present duty of work. Before that, I went on a seven day leave after completing my first session of painting in London. My new friend Donald Nicol, a C.O. asked me to go on a walking tour in the Lake District and so having always wanted to see and climb in the Lake District I agreed.
