Dear All Well Dad here is wishing you a very many Happy returns of September 3rd rather a lot to hope the war will end on that day I think. Just think five years of war—after this war—Modern Travel & International Commerce will help the world & the nations to understand one another's point of view & make them realise that war does not pay. Well it is our generation's turn and with all the additional post war facilities we shall have at our disposal I think we shall succeed. In fact it is our Bond & Duty to succeed we must not fail. Few answers to your recently received letters. Yes Doreen—have received Penguin Books in fact two batches others probably from St Barnabas [?] people, the two parcels unfortunately identical. You might write Penguins that two of us in the room receiveing their books always get the same—my April parcel not arrived but all others previous have. Cheerio for now
Love to you all
God Bless
John
