Dear All Well Dad your birthday today many happy Returns of the day am thinking of you while I write this letter—Hope trade is as as good as ever. Have received first clothing parcel from you—one or two things re this. Firstly it was the best parcel I expected, I was pleased with everything thanks for the trouble and all that, one or two comments. Please repeat in other parcels, Slippers, Tooth Brush, Brithantine [?] handkerchiefs, dentifrice & studs. I have bought a Blanket from an orderly here for £5. It is cold at nights already so is good investment will you please send £5 for same to Mrs G. Weaver 40, Moffatt Street Maidenhead Berkshire. Keep a good check on how much you spend for me and I'll settle up when I get home. Received first 2 cigarette parcels last week Churchmens No 1 & 200 Players no note who from presume from you & Grandma thanks so much but should be glad if you would get a note name & address only inserted in future. Also send Grade 1 Cigarettes as good bartering value on MART explain same in next letter. Kind regards to all.
