Berlin Tuesday 6th April 1914
Stayed at home and painted.
Evening I went to the Wittelsbacher Cinematograph.
From now on to the end of April I led much the same kind of life—going to restaurants cafés theatres—taking snapshots of Berlin and its surroundings and seeing more of Berlin life. I rode two or three times with H. in the Tiergarten and saw the Emperor. I also called on Sir E. Goschen at the British Embassy and met all the attachés and secretaries. Among those I met were Sir W. Rattigan and Mr. Bruce. They had both been to Lahmayer’s in Hannover.
