My dear Crombie,
What a wretch you are not to have answered my last letter. I have forgotten when I wrote it but it was some years ago as far as I can remember & I think it was long before the war began.
I have been all over the shop since then. When the war began I was with a detachment of my regiment at a place called Mussoorie up in the Himalayas. We mobilized towards the end of August of that year and then we rejoined the headquarters of the Regiment in Lucknow. Since then I have been at
